Welcome fellow book lovers! I'm a self-professed bookworm. And I think I wore out my library card when I was younger, but it was well worth it!
Speaking of libraries, I have a pretty decent one myself, if I do say so, and I do, haha!
I've read books in several different genres, which I will share as time goes on. At different times I've read romance, mystery, and sci-fi and fantasy fiction, both YA and adult. Given that I grew up in the 80s and 90s, I had a regular book diet of, Choose Your Own Adventure, The Babysitters Club, Sweet Valley High, among MANY others. I also knew about series like Goosebumps, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, to name just a few.

BTVS: Return to Chaos |
One partial collection I have is novels based off a favorite TV show of mine. It's gone by a few names. I usually refer to it as Buffy, or BTVS, which is short for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It started as a movie from the early 1990s and starred Kristy Swanson in the title role and Luke Perry (who also played Dylan McKay from Beverly Hills, 90210, may he RIP).
Then it was reincarnated as a TV show on the WB known by the same name with Sarah Michelle Gellar in the title role. Usually fans refer to the show as just Buffy, and in writing the name can shortened to BTVS. I'm pretty sure the books were written while the series was still on TV.
A reboot or new Buffy series is supposed to be in the works. My personal recommendation, watch the 90s series. There's a lot of history that could be alluded to in the new series. For some people, they prefer seeing the current material and then watching the older material to get the history. That's certainly an option.
I'm excited as well as curious about the new series. You may find that many fans have very specific and passionate opinions about the original series, myself included. I don't want to give away any spoilers to those who are brand new to what fans call the Buffyverse. The original series had many amazing characters and stories.
So in addition to the movie, television series, and the books, are the comics. There's comics based off the original TV series, as well as a spin-off limited series called Fray, which I have at least the first issue. Fray is set in the future with a new Slayer, Melaka Fray, and from my recollection, very little if any reference to Buffy, except Fray's version of explaining the Slayer one liner: one girl in all the world who's destined to fight the darkness. It's different and interesting for sure.
The above book is awesome for any Buffy fans, with the trademark banter, humor, and mystery for which the series is known. I'm rereading my books and will be posting about the as time moves on.

P.S. Where are you when it comes to Buffy? Are you a newbie (welcome!) or an established fan with plenty of opinions on the series (I know the feeling!)? Drop me a comment!
Until next time, keep turning the page!
